Testimonials

We love to hear from our dog owners, here are a few testimonials

Issac and Ronnie, “Ranger”

We had such a great experience with Birch Creek Pointing Labs. They were incredibly inviting and patient as my husband & I chose our chocolate lab, Ranger, and made the whole process enjoyable from start to finish. It’s clear they take exceptional care of their dogs and maintain a very clean, well-kept environment. Ranger is now a handsome, smart dog who picked up on everything so quickly, and he showed great hunting instincts right off the bat! My husband can’t wait to hunt with him. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great labs!

Leslie and “Moose”

Our family got our male black lab from Birch Creek Pointing Labs. I contacted the owners shortly after we lost our senior yellow lab. Ainsly was very professional and sympathetic to my family losing our beloved family member. She made the process easier for us to move forward with our next puppy.

All of my questions were answered quickly and I couldn’t be happier with our experience.

Their facility was well-maintained, and it was clear the dogs are raised in a caring, attentive environment. I believe their indoor/outdoor kennels made it very easy to house-train our puppy. Our kids named our puppy Moose and he is almost a year old now. He is healthy, happy, friendly and very loved.

I highly recommend Birch Creek Pointing Labs to anyone looking for responsible and caring place to find a labrador puppy.

Don and “Maggie”

Making the decision to purchase a puppy from Ainsley was easy after having already bought one from her Dad, Jim.
You can tell from the time you meet her the love she has for her pups and is more than willing to help with the selection of a pup to take home. We made several trips to Birch Creek Kennel, which was always clean, neat, and up to date, before we chose our Maggie.
Maggie was easy to house train and just loved the hunt training process. One thing that I loved about her was that she was always looking me directly in my eyes, waiting for her next command.
I always hunt her with my Red Lab, Reba (Yukon x Herky’s Hope) whom I bought from Ainsley’s Dad. They both hunt close and are pointing, getting better every time out. They are a joy to hunt over.
If you’re looking for your first puppy or looking to add one to your kennel, you can’t go wrong with a Pointing Lab from Birch Creek Pointing Labs.

Kyle and “Charlie”

Charlie will be 4 in June this year and she is the heart of our home. Her endless tail wags keep us laughing. The love she has for tennis balls and swimming are only second to the love of her owners. She is fiercely loyal, snuggly and hysterical all at the same time.

We are beyond grateful for the love Birch Creek gave our girl and all the beautiful puppies that come from their breeding. These are beautiful dogs who you might forget are dogs, and start thinking of as just another member of your family.

Charlie loves to play with her smaller sister (an Australian Labradoodle) and reminds us how smart she is everyday. She is pure joy. Simply perfect. Thank you for helping to bring her into our lives.

Matt and “Jack”

We have been extremely pleased with our decision to acquire a puppy from Birch Creek last year. Jack arrived at 8 weeks old and quickly settled in to a good routine. I selected him for the kennel’s history of producing dogs that are truly used for hunting. He has excellent prey drive, a great nose, is high energy, but also is a great family dog with a kind and friendly disposition.

I sent him away to a professional gun dog trainer at 6 months old and the trainer absolutely loved how he took direction and learned quickly.

He turned 1 year old while we were on a week long pheasant hunting trip to SD. Given the timing of the year he only had the a few local hunts outside of his training time under his belt so I wasn’t sure exactly how he was going to react on real wild birds. Fortunately, Jack performed beyond my expectations. Our crew of 6 hunters and 3 dogs harvested over 70 birds, including pheasants, grouse and prairie chickens!

I would definitely recommend Birch Creek if you are considering a red lab.

Lisa and “Lainey”

I got my black Lab puppy, Lainey, from Ainsley and Brandt in October, 2023.  It has been a ton of fun ever since!  She is healthy and smart and silly and a bundle of energy.  I don't hunt, but my neighbor has taken her pheasant hunting and she has some natural instincts, including pointing.  But, her main job is to be a pet and a constant companion.  Lainey loves everyone and wins hearts easily.  She is also a good watch dog and alerts me when anything seems unusual or when someone is coming up the driveway.  If you are looking for a loyal companion bounding with enthusiasm, I recommend getting a Birch Creek Labrador Retriever.
